Finance Coaching
“Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant.”
“Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship”
“If you want to save money, stop eating Chipotle every day.”
I used to think finances were boring. And, you know what? I was right. They are very boring.
Sometimes though, if you have the right kind of spreadsheet, tracking your finances can be…. no wait, it’s still boring.
Right now, I’m learning how to control my own spending, so I can take what I’ve learned and pass it on. Eventually, I want to figure out how I can help other people become pros at managing their monthly expenses and spending habits. It starts with knowing yourself and ends with self-control…. the latter part is what I’m missing at the moment.
Hopefully, the next time you come back here, I’ll have figured this out. :)
How I’m gathering data to eventually do this for realzies:
Completed a course to be a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor. That’s right - I’m a CCUFC, baby!
Made it through about half the Dave Ramsey Course… maybe I’ll finish it someday.
Listening to podcasts about Personal Finance here and there.
Went to FinCon 2023 - it’s a conference for “Money Nerds.” Going again in 2025… maybe?
My mom has been in banking my entire life, so I guess she taught me a thing or two.
